Gavin Lee, a young aspiring director, takes on a soulless job at a production company that specializes in reality shows so that he can keep up with his Manhattan rent. But when he discovers that his boss produced a film that was directed by one of his cinematic idols nearly a quarter century earlier, Gavin does everything in his power to mend a fractured relationship between the two men so that their follow-up project can be finally produced.
